Healing from Trauma and PTSD
Making the commitment to heal from trauma is a deeply personal and highly vulnerable process. Therefore, it is my goal, first and foremost, to provide a safe and nurturing environment for your process to unfold organically. There is no rush, no goal to achieve, just an opportunity to listen to and let go of old patterns which are no longer serving you. Chinese Medicine offers a beautiful and intricate system of understanding the emotions through the body that does not require a retelling of your story. Diagnostic tools such as pulse reading, channel palpation and facial diagnosis allow a practitioner to understand emotional imbalances present in your system without words. Our work together is not a replacement for clinical therapy, but may be used in conjunction to address directly the traumas being held deep in the tissues of the body.
During treatment you may feel a flood of emotion that comes and goes, a physical release or a rush of heat somewhere in your body. These and other responses are positive signs that your body is letting go of old holding patterns. It is a truly powerful and unique experience to connect with the wisdom of the body in this way.
